Cookie Policy

This policy covers ventureease.org only. Each VentureEase product (StartEase, LaunchEase, HireEase) has its own cookie and privacy policy governing data within that app. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We use as few as possible, and only first-party cookies (set by ventureease.org itself). We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or social-media cookies.

2. The two categories we model

Essential — always on. Required for the site to work, so there is no toggle and no consent is needed. Turning these off would break sign-in.
Analytics — off by default; loads only if you opt in. We run no analytics at all today. The category exists so that if we ever add first-party analytics to understand how the site is used, it is consent-gated from the start. Any such analytics would be first-party, never sold, and never shared with third-party trackers.

3. The cookies we actually set

VORG_SESSID (Essential) — keeps you signed in. Set with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax; a session cookie with a 24-minute idle timeout.
cookie_consent (Essential) — remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Readable by the page so the banner reflects your choice; kept for 1 year.

That's the whole list. We do not set advertising, cross-site, or third-party analytics cookies. Cross-site request forgery is prevented by checking the request origin, not by a cookie. There is no Google Analytics or other third-party tag on this site.

4. Changing your choice

Use the Cookie preferences link in the site footer at any time to reopen the banner and change what you allow. You can also clear cookies for this site in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again on your next visit.

5. Do Not Track

Because we run no tracking or analytics today, there is nothing here for a Do-Not-Track signal to disable. If we add first-party analytics later, it will honor your consent choice as set above.

6. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we ever begin loading a non-essential cookie or script, we will require your consent before it runs.
